Mat Pilates classes for all ages (from 12) and any fitness level, even those who have never tried Pilates before!
Also suitable for post natal (after 6 week check) and those with lower back pain.
Pilates focuses on strengthening the body specifically working on the core (abdominals and pelvic floor) muscles. Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility as well as the mind body connection, whilst being fully aware of your body position, movement and breathing.

'Medicine in Motion'
A gentle but effective exercise class that flows smoothly through movements designed to improve posture, balance, mobility and flexibility, as well as improving muscle memory. It is a standing exercise class suitable for all abilities and ages. Specifically aimed at those advised by the GP to return to exercise for preventative health reasons, those recovering from injury, or those who have mobility issues and those who are in chronic pain or having ongoing health conditions, such as Fibromyalgia or Arthritis.
WATER BASED CLASSES
"Water supports the body, putting less stress on your joints and muscles
which in turn helps build strength. Fighting against the push of the water activates your muscles and the water pressure helps put less strain on the heart by moving blood around the body.
The impact of gravity is less in the water allowing a greater range of motion.
Working out in water helps prevent overheating, helping you exercise for longer."

ABOUT PILATES WITH POLLY
Polly has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years. But more recently set up her own community classes in Mid Kent, specifically teaching Pilates, Paracise™ and Water-based classes.
Polly has experience in working with people with low back pain and Fibromyalgia.
Polly’s enthusiasm is infectious but over the past difficult times she has been amazing! I attend her Pilates class and at 65 I know my limitations but she is so kind in giving alternatives with difficult exercises without making me feel awkward, which is special. Polly has a great sense of humour but when class starts her professionalism sets in and you feel calm. She has worked so hard to keep all her different classes going, also offering free classes. I know everyone appreciates her and I can’t recommend her enough whatever age you are.
